How to Get There
For our friends coming from the UK
The closest airport to our wedding is Santander (SDR) offering direct flights from London Stansted. These flights are less frequent than flights to Bilbao (BIO) which is further away, around 1.5 hours by car. We will arrange for taxi pick-ups from Bilbao Airport, so please inform us if/when you plan to arrive there. If arriving at Santander, taxis are available in front of the airport for the approximately 40-minute drive to Comillas.
For our friends coming from the US
For those travelling from the NY area, we recommend you fly to Madrid and from there directly to Santander. There are regular flights daily which take about one hour. Should you wish to drive from Madrid, there are many beautiful sights along the way, and we are happy to help with ideas.
Where to Stay
We have reserved hotel rooms in two hotels in Comillas, Hotel Josein and Hotel Abba. Some of the rooms that we have reserved in Hotel Abba are suitable for families; however, neither hotel has a dedicated area for children. We have reserved all rooms from Thursday through Sunday, and amendments can be made at any time prior to the week of the wedding.
